  • “Outstanding about Bastian Loewe is his ability to go "one step further" artistically than most musicians, with poetic musicality, understanding of structure and personal expression.”

Wendy Enderle, viola professor at the ZHdK and violist in “Carmina Quartett”

  • “He charmed the orchestra right away with his warm sound, great narrative and charism.”

Julia Schröder, concertmaster at the Kammerorchester Basel

  • “Always looking forward to improve his musicianship he doesn`t put any limits in searching new approaches of music making. He is in his work passionate and patient at the same time (…) I am convinced we will hear more from him in the next years.”

Anton Kernjak, chambermusic professor, Hochschule für Musik Basel

  • “Both musicians represent with brilliance the new generation of national musicians who have managed to establish themselves in the international circuit. The interpretation was magnificent. (…) The Frank Sonata interpretation was remarkable (…) Morbid sweetness in the first movement, sweeping personality in the second, freedom and flexibility in the third and tenderness in the canonic imitative melody and rapture at the end. Everything was there.”

Jaime Donoso, «el Mercurio», critic about recital with Danor Quinteros

  • “His both expressive and virtuosic manner of playing and his wonderfully projecting and singing sound characterize him. In his focused attitude, he is taking risks in his performance and is therefore able to captivate his audience from the first note.”

Barbara Doll, violin professor at the Hochschule für Musik Basel
